The Global Center for Gifted and Talented Children

The Global Center for Gifted and Talented Children

The Global Center for Gifted and Talented Children is a global center for gifted children and youth aged 3-18. Founded by Roya Klingner, a former gifted child. The Center empowers and serves the gifted community through exemplary leadership in programs, research, and advocacy.

It offers a broad spectrum of services for gifted children, parents and specialists involved in Gifted Education. The founders believe that every young person has an entitlement to highest quality education provision to equip them with skills and knowledge necessary to become effective global citizens in the 21st century.

The daily work includes psychological and pedagogical consultancy, diagnosis and coaching. They specialise in teacher training and can organise workshops, projects and lectures to meet the school's needs in gifted education. International conferences are important for the centre as well. They not only attend them, but have organised several ones. The first global virtual meeting for gifted education was also initiated by the Center, now it is regularly organised for experts, teachers and parents in Secondlife in every month.

The vision of the center is to help gifted children discover their own strengths and dreams; and to pursue those dreams against all odds. Their aim is to hand over their experiences and knowledge to the next generation of gifted children and guide them on their way to develop their special talents. Their mission is to help gifted and talented children succeed in school as well as in life. In the center they discover what a child is good at and then build on their own interests. Children and teens trust them because they believe in them.

The Global Centre for gifted and talented children is the right place for gifted and highly gifted children as well as their families and all persons, who are involved in gifted education. Every child has potential and need support to achieve his/her fullest ability. Being gifted does not necessarily mean efficient. Therefore the center doesn't focus on efficiency but on individual skills and abilities.
